Cabinetworks Group celebrates one-year anniversary of free on-site medical clinic and wellness center for employees

Manufacturer announces second location in the works

LIVONIA, Mich. — Cabinetworks Group, the country’s largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer, recently celebrated the one year anniversary of opening its on-site medical clinic and wellness center for its employees at its Middlefield, Ohio manufacturing plant — the company’s largest plant.

The program has proven successful, saving team members time by provided access to on-site care and helping to alleviate the financial burden of acute care amidst rising healthcare costs. Medcor opened its doors at the Cabinetworks manufacturing plant in November 2024. Since its opening, it has treated more than 900 team members, spouses and dependents—all at no cost to the team members.

“One thing I’m deeply passionate about is taking care of our team members,” said Jeff Jackson, CEO of Cabinetworks. “Shortly after I joined Cabinetworks, we launched a free on-site medical clinic to ensure our team understood that their health needs are valued. Everyone’s busy, and no one enjoys taking time out of their day to sit in a waiting room. Too often, people just push through an illness because they don’t have the time or are concerned about cost. With our on-site clinic, team members and their dependents can take care of their health quickly, conveniently, and at no cost so they can stay at their best.”

Staffed by a Family Nurse Practitioner, the clinic offers free health services to the company’s 1,800 team members in the region, as well as their spouses and dependents, including lab work, routine medical care, wellness exams, physicals, sports physicals, immunizations and more.

“I visited the clinic on my break and was diagnosed with a sinus infection,” said Amber Easthon, a Middlefield-based team member. “I received a free prescription on the spot. I saved time by being seen on-site, and I saved money. I also got better faster, because I probably would not have seen my regular doctor until the weekend or until it got worse. Instead, I got free, fast service and recovery without taking time away from work.”

Operated by Medcor, the facility delivers medical care for injuries and essential care services. When referrals are necessary, Medcor navigates patients through provider selection and the traditional healthcare system to ensure optimal health outcomes and the most cost savings.

Earlier this month, the manufacturer announced it is opening its second on-site medical clinic location in early 2026 to serve team members at its plant in Independence, Oregon. This expansion will build upon the program’s success by allowing access to free on-site health services for the 200 additional Cabinetworks team members who work at the Oregon facility.

In addition to an on-site health clinic, Cabinetworks offers a number of other benefits for its team members, including an operational hourly bonus program, financial assistance program that allows team members to apply for a grant or interest-free loan if they have an immediate financial need or crisis; a scholarship program for children of team members; enhanced tuition reimbursement for team members; increased vacation time for long term employees; and a corporate benefits program.
