Cabinetworks Group celebrates ongoing partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation

LIVONIA, Mich. — Cabinetworks Group, the country’s largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer, recently celebrated its ongoing partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports and honors America’s veterans, first responders and their families through various programs.

Through R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment), the Foundation builds 100% specially adapted mortgage-free smart homes for the most severely wounded heroes. Cabinetworks has been a partner to the Gary Sinise Foundation since 2023, providing free cabinetry for these homes to outfit rooms including the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, mudroom, home office and anywhere that cabinetry can improve the way the family lives in the home.

In celebration of Veterans Day, Cabinetworks Group CEO Jeff Jackson, along with 19 veterans and six additional team members from the manufacturer’s Culpeper and Mount Jackson, Virginia plants, boarded two buses to attend a home dedication event honoring wounded hero U.S. Army Captain (Ret.) Tyson Quink in Leesburg, Virginia.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Cabinetworks Group team members traveled to Cedar Hill, Tennessee for the Gary Sinise Foundation’s 100^th home dedication ceremony honoring wounded hero Sergeant First Class (Ret.) Joe Bowser.

“Attending the Gary Sinise Foundation’s 100^th R.I.S.E. home dedication for SFC Joe Bowser was one of the most moving experiences of my life,” said Scott Wilson, Cabinetworks director of design technology and designer experience and a Persian Gulf War Veteran, “As a veteran, Joe’s story hit especially close to home—he left the Army just before 9/11, felt that same pull I did to go back when our country was attacked, and ultimately lost his leg in Iraq. Seeing the Foundation flag posted with 100 individual battle streamers—one for each wounded hero, color-coded by branch—brought tears to my eyes. Every partner who spoke said the same thing: the Foundation never just asks for product; they gently push us to give a little more of ourselves every time. That’s why, even as we celebrate this 100^th home, there are already 16 more active builds across the country. I’m proud to work for the company that provided cabinetry throughout Joe’s home, and to keep answering that call—because these families deserve nothing less.”
