Cabinetworks Group celebrates opening of second on-site health clinic

The initiative demonstrates the manufacturer’s expanded commitment to team member wellness

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDEPENDENCE, Ore.  — Cabinetworks Group, the country’s largest privately owned cabinet manufacturer, recently celebrated the opening of its second free on-site health clinic for its team members at its Independence, Oregon manufacturing plant.

Now open, the health clinic is similar to the company’s first location in Middlefield, Ohio, and offers team members, spouses and dependents access to on-site care — all at no cost.

“Since opening our first clinic in Ohio in November 2024, the response has truly exceeded our expectations,” said Jeff Jackson, CEO of Cabinetworks Group. “We understood early on that many of our Independence team members and their families faced real challenges accessing affordable, timely medical care in this area. By opening this clinic, we’re addressing that need head-on. This model removes barriers to care and reflects our commitment to being an employer of choice, which includes being one that listens, solves problems and supports its team members so they can focus on their health, well-being and performing at their best.”

Staffed by a nurse practitioner and operated by Medcor, the clinic will provide free health services to the company’s more than 200 team members in the region, with services including well-adult and well-child exams, assessment and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, chronic condition monitoring (blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol), sports physicals for children/students and more. The clinic can also dispense select prescriptions on-site and at no cost to the team member. When referrals are necessary, Medcor navigates team members through provider selection and the traditional healthcare system to ensure optimal health outcomes and the most cost savings.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Monday, March 2 to commemorate the occasion. Attendees heard from Jeff Jackson, as well as others from executive leadership. Light bites and refreshments were provided, and individuals were invited to tour the clinic afterwards. Attendees included Cabinetworks Group team members, community leaders and individuals from Medcor.

“When a company chooses to provide on-site care at no cost to their team members, it speaks volumes about the culture of the company,” said Mayor Kate Schwarzler. “It says that you understand that work and life are connected, and it says that you recognize supporting families is essential and not just a nice extra. Access to quality care shouldn’t be complicated or out of reach, but many families are struggling with it right now. By offering it right here where employees work, Cabinetworks Group is removing barriers and creating stability for families. When families are supported, our entire community benefits.”

At a company-wide Town Hall in February, Jackson announced that the company would open a third clinic in its Waconia, Minnesota facility in mid to late 2026.

In addition to a health clinic, Cabinetworks offers a number of other benefits for its team members, including a performance-based bonus program for every team member, a financial assistance program that allows team members to apply for a grant or interest-free loan if they have an immediate financial need or crisis, a scholarship program for children of team members, enhanced tuition reimbursement for team members, and a full corporate benefits program.
