Front Range Delivery Area: Pueblo to Ft. Collins

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER 

Primary role would be to safely load boxed cabinets into trucks in sequence of delivery.  On an as needed basis, this role will also be asked to locally deliver cabinets using a 26’ box truck.  This entails following assigned routes, and unloading cabinets at destinations.  Safely utilize hand-truck/dolly and truck ramp to assist in the un-loading of cabinets and any/all cabinets, material, parts, or components weighing up to 150 lbs. Job tasks require repetitive lifting, bending, and hand/arm motions.  When driving tasks would include maintaining daily delivery logs, performing vehicle inspections and picking up/delivering miscellaneous items while driving a 26’ delivery log.  No CDL required. 

OUTPUTS OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER 

Required to physically contribute to the daily work that is assigned to him by the area supervisor. This includes pulling, loading and unloading orders for local and out of state trucks. This requires the ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a consistent basis which requires bending, stooping, and lifting items occasionally over head. Required to deal with customers as needed in a professional and respectful manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER 

Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Ability to interact with customers in professional manner. Maintain a professional appearance. Ability to work with hands and cabinet moving equipment (dollies, straps, etc). Ability to lift 75 lbs. independently and repeatedly (20-30) times per hour for a minimum of 8 hours on a daily basis. Ability to move and to transport product weighing 75-150 lbs. Ability to exert the amount of force needed to push or pull cabinets that can weigh up to 900 lbs. Ability to read and understand written driving instructions and map books. Please see additional PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS below for additional requirements of this position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER 

High School degree or equivalent preferred.  Possess a valid driver’s license.  Possess acceptable motor vehicle record. 

Ability to read and understand packing lists and cabinet nomenclature.  Knowledge of Front Range from Pueblo to Fort Collins.  Able to speak and understand basic English in order to follow verbal instructions.  Able to read basic English in order to follow written instructions and process work orders.
