Ops Update – 3/20/2020

We hope this letter finds you and your family healthy and well during these unprecedented times.

We are beginning to experience new challenges that directly impact our factories. Yesterday, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses in the state to close their physical locations. In response, Cabinetworks Group has temporarily paused all manufacturing in Pennsylvania. Employees who can work from home to continue to support our customers are doing so. We have prepped our team to resume operations immediately upon the lifting of the mandate.

In accordance with the mandate, we have paused production of Echelon, Advanta, Studio Full Access, and Serenade products. Orders in transit are expected to be delivered as scheduled. All other orders will receive an additional lead time of three weeks. We continue to accept new orders, adding three weeks to the lead time.

Our Pennsylvania facilities also provide doors and other components for our KraftMaid, Merillat Classic, Merillat Masterpiece, QualityCabinets, Design-Craft, and MasterCraft brands. Due to the Pennsylvania closures, the factories that produce these brands will pause production by March 27. We will add three weeks of lead time to all orders. Orders will remain in the queue and will be processed and produced as soon as the production pause is completed. We continue to accept new orders, adding three weeks to the lead time.

Our Medallion and Yorktowne brands have multiple manufacturing locations. The Culver facility will pause production by March 27. The Waconia and Independence facilities are not impacted by the production pause but may experience extended lead times. We will continue to evaluate how best to leverage the Waconia and Independence facilities to continue meeting the demands for these products.

The changes do not impact the manufacturing facilities that produce our Smart Cabinetry, Master Wood Craft, Merillat Basics, and QualityCabinets WoodStar products. These facilities are running at normal production and lead times.

For all of our brands and product lines, we are diligently evaluating which orders are impacted and will update our systems to reflect the most up-to-date delivery information as quickly as possible.

We understand that this disruption will impact your business. Our team is here to support you through this. While we can’t predict the future, we can promise transparency and open communication. We will provide you with another update as soon as more information is available.

Thank you for your partnership and your business. On behalf of the entire Cabinetworks team, please stay safe.
